It isn’t compulsory to submit the original letter
You might get the impression that you have to get the original invitation letter all the way from Russia. This will cost you very high as the letter need to be couriered from there to here. So instead of wasting so much money and time, a scanned copy is also sufficient and accepted by the Russian authorities.

You just need to go to their website and fill up their form with all your details and make the necessary payment. Do remember that some might only accept payment through PayPal.
