You can now update your Aadhaar card online by using the self-service UIDAI Portal (SSUP) recently launched by UIDAI. With the availability of the portal, you won’t need to go through the stress of making a repeated visit to the enrollment center every time you want to update your details or correct any error in your Aadhaar card.

Steps To SSUP Mobile Number Update
Your mobile number can now be updated online through the SSUP Portal.
Step 1: Visit the official SSUP Portal by clicking here.
Step 2: Look towards the end of the page, you will see a “click here” option, click on it to submit your update request
Step 3: A new tab will pop-up where you will be requested to provide your Aadhaar card number. Enter your 12 digits Aadhaar number correctly, avoiding any mistake. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number for verification.
Step 4: You will be given various options on the details that you want to update. Select “mobile number” and click on “submit.”
Step 5: Verify your mobile number and provide your new mobile number. Then click on “Submit update request.”
A confirmation will be sent to you regarding the submission of your update request, which will include your unique URN. Write down the URN and check the status if your update. You will be able to download the updated Aadhaar card when it is ready.
How to Check the Status of your Update Request on SSUP?
Step 1: click here to open the official site of the SSUP.
Step 2: Click on “Update status” in the upper right corner.
Step 3: Enter your Aadhaar number as well as URN number.
The status of your updated Aadhaar card will be displayed. You will be able to preview it if it is ready for download and then you can download it.
